Nursing Cover Tutorial

This is a great tutorial for a nursing cover or hootie hider! There have been many times where I have had no other choice but to feed my very hungry baby in public. This would have come in handy many times!

Thinking of Spring...

New Dawn in April 2008

I'm ready for winter to be over. I've had enough. There have been a few 60 degree days to remind me that there's a life to be had outside, digging in the dirt, planting seeds, pulling weeds.

I'm planning a new garden around the new shed that Adam built. Butterfly bush, roses, zinnias, calendula, lambs ear, lavender, black eyed susans, purple coneflower, ajuga, the list goes on!
I am planning a new climbing rose on the shed and maybe some knowckout roses as a "foundation planting". I want to avoid the basic evergreen plantings, but perhaps I'll throw in some boxwoods for good measure.

Tutorials and Ideas

Robots by David Walker

I can't wait for the robot fabric to hurry up and come so I can make this nap mat!

Love this hooded towel tutorial. Made one in 15 minutes and it turned out so cute! This may be the gift of the year!

Another great tutorial from Skip to my Lou! An oilcloth lunch bag. Just so happens I've got red and white polka dot oilcloth waiting to be used...

Another birthday! The big 4!

June 2007

I can hardly believe our little boy is turning four tomorrow. 4.

He's smart, funny, particular about alot things, gives the best hugs and kisses. He loves dressing up in costumes and scaring people, oatmeal, the book "oh my, oh my, oh dinosaurs "by Sandra Boynton, he hates his hair washed and the birthday song. Ghosts are ghostes. Hospital is hopitable. Enjoys being outside without his shoes on and could go all day without getting dressed.
Four years has flown by and we've had a lot of fun with this big boy!
Happy Birthday!

more advent calenders

thinking about christmas and family crafting

Saturday was the last day of the farmers' market. It was a bittersweet day. I enjoyed it so much, being part of a community and talking to my customers and seeing the same people every week. The vendors, staff and customers are the nicest people to be around. Although, I'm looking forward to sleeping in with the family and doing Saturday things with the family.
Also, I'm looking to do more crafting for my family and getting ready for christmas. I've already started brainstorming presents, ornaments and decor! Every year I say I'm going to make an advent calender and hopefully this year I'll achieve that goal!
This week:
1. Finish dragon costume by Friday!- Done Thursday at 10 pm
2. Mail packages- SENT
3. birthday present for 3 yr old- bought a puzzle instead of making something
4. Sandler's birthday is on Saturday!
